An El Clasico never disappoints. Never.

The two teams came into the match with their own set of aspirations. Barcelona were hell-bent to continue their unbeaten run in the league and Madrid were coming on the back of reaching yet another UEFA Champions league final and wer looking forward to avenge the defeat in the previous fixture.

10-men Barcelona may have had a Herculean task in front of them in a match of such ferocity but Lionel Messi took things into his own hands when he brilliantly dispatched a beautiful curler into the back of the net to give Barcelona the lead.
