The Brazilian has dropped down the pecking order at Juventus and has been in the starting XI in just 4 of his 15 appearances. He has been used as a right winger 9 times this season and this is the area which Manchester United desperately needs reinforcements in.

Douglas Costa is yet to score this season, as he struggles to make an impact after the arrival of Ronaldo. He had scored 6 goals from 47 appearances last season with Juventus and has not warmed up to life in Serie A since moving from Bayern Munich last season. As such, the Brazilian might be open to a move to Old Trafford, where he will certainly have more chances to flourish.
Even though he is predominantly left-footed, the Brazilian is extremely versatile, with the capability to play across the front three, but he is most comfortable on the right wing, where his speed, trickery and ability to beat his marker is second to none. Moreover, Costa can cut inside and shoot as well as move outside and send in crosses, an ability that is a glaring absence in the right wing at Old Trafford. His ability to stretch the defence by hugging the touchline will work well for midfield runners like Pogba and Herrera.
The only constraint Manchester United might face is the money that Juventus might ask for. The Serie A side is expected to ask for £36.12m, however, they could be coaxed into selling him for less.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two. However, his all-time favorite footballer is Lionel Messi, and evidently, he feels Argentina's glory in 2022 is his favorite FIFA World Cup moment for fulfilling his long-standing dream. He is also an ardent East Bengal fan.
Deepungsu has been a Manchester United supporter since the year 2000. Unsurprisingly, his favorite manager is Sir Alex Ferguson and the Scotsman helped him get through some of the toughest days of his life. Like the fiery Scot, Deepungsu also leaves no stone unturned when it comes to accuracy in articles and only relies on credible sources.
Despite believing in Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland to create an iconic rivalry, Deepungsu reckons no one can match the longevity of Messi and Ronaldo. He spends his leisure time writing about life on his blog, reading books, and playing the guitar.
