Losers: Atletico Madrid and Juventus
It's Griezmann vs Ronaldo again. Both teams would have wanted to avoid meeting each other in the round of 16.
Both clubs are experienced in the knockout stages, having played two finals each in the last five seasons. Juventus have been fortified by the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo, but they would have hoped for a better draw than Atletico who are determined to make it to the final, which will be held at their home stadium, the Wanda Metropolitano.
Atletico are a resistant team under Simeone, and are regarded as the dark horses of the competition. But they will come up against Ronaldo, the man who has denied them of continental glory a number of times with his old club Real Madrid, and will be looking to do so once again at his new club.
Losers: Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich were handed the team everyone wanted to avoid from pot two - Liverpool. Last season's finalists qualified for the knockout stages on the final matchday, after they knocked out Carlo Ancelotti's Napoli at Anfield.
Liverpool have struggled away from home in the UCL, losing all three games. But at home, they are a completely different side. With the first leg set to take place at Anfield, Bayern need to be ready for the front line of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Mohamed Salah.
Bayern will be boosted by the fact that Van Dijk will be suspended for the first leg, but Bayern need to be wary of the attacking threat Liverpool possess. This tie has all the elements of a blockbuster.
