Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich thrashed AS Roma in their own backyard as Guardiola’s men trotted to a 7-1 win against the Italian outfit.
The Stadio Olympico was left shell shocked after the rampant Bavarians dismantled their side with an emphatic victory on the night. It was a dominant performance from the German outfit who dictated the proceedings throughout the game and came out with a result that has surely transmitted warning signals all over Europe.
Prior to their humiliating defeat in this game, Roma had lost only one match at home and it was predicted that Bayern were in for a difficult night. But the visitors made a mockery of their opponents as Arjen Robben commenced the Italian rout with a superb curler inside the opening minutes.
