#3 Manuel Neuer comes up big for Bayern Munich
Manuel Neuer was the only reason why Union Berlin were just restricted to one goal throughout the game against Bayern Munich. Although he failed to keep a clean sheet, there was nothing he could have done for Union Berlin's opener of the night.
Neuer made some brilliant saves over the course of the game. The German international made a stunning stop in the opening minute to deny Taiwo Awoniyi.
Neuer denied Awoniyi yet again in the 22nd minute of the game to ensure Bayern Munich still had a fighting chance. Game after game, he's proving why he is so instrumental to this Bayern squad.
#2 Bayern Munich turned the screw in the second half
Until half-time, it looked as if Union Berlin would bag all three points. The hosts were attacking relentlessly and the visitors looked lost for answers. But Bayern Munich came out in the second half looking much better. They attacked with more directness, looked sharp, and had real purpose.
Kingsley Coman and Lewandowski turned up the heat for Bayern Munich. The two started breaking the lines as they combined well. They were finally rewarded in the 67th minute as Lewandowski scored after some outstanding work from the Frenchman to set him up.
#1 Bayern Munich look weary
The Bavarians have started looking weary. With this exhausting run of fixtures, players have started looking tired. They lacked the desire and looked sluggish for the entirety of the game.
Union Berlin's intensity had no match as Bayern Munich struggled to assert their hold over the game. There were instances where the visitors completely switched off.
Hansi Flick's men have been lacking rhythm for quite some time now, and they will be looking forward to the Christmas break in order to get back to their usual selves.
