United's top 10 moments last season in the Premier League.

Manchester United began their season with a 3-0 thumping of Newcastle at home with Berbatov, Fletcher and Giggs (Scored in every season he played) getting on the score sheet. But things changed dramatically for United, a draw at Fulham, saw them slip away in the final moments of the game. United were criticized once again for a slow start to the season, meanwhile their title rivals Chelsea grabbed a thumping 6-0 win over Wigan Athletic away from home.

But as usual the Red devils bounced back and defeated West Ham United at Old Trafford with a 3 goal margin, the game also saw Rooney getting his first goal since March via a spot kick. However, United surrendered a two goal lead in yet another away game at the Merseyside against Everton. United looked comfortable with a 3-1 lead, but in injury time, Everton grabbed 2 goals, which saw the game end 3-3 and United went back home with just one point.

United had garnered a total of 8 points out of a possible 12 while Chelsea grabbed all 12 out of 12 and were sitting on the top of the table comfortably. The Red devils were blamed, criticized and castigated for their performances by rival club fans and even several journos. After going through a season long of up’s and down’s, United finally won the Premier League title and reached Wembley for their 5th European final against Barcelona.

However, United went on to lose the game 3-1. The greatest moment United fans could cheer about last season was surely the victory of their 19th League title, and it became even more sweeter to knock their arch-rivals Liverpool off their perch, by setting up a new record for the most number of titles in English football history.

2] Manchester United vs. Chelsea:

One of the most over-looked fixtures in England, a rivalry that has begun from the early 2000′s, Manchester United against Chelsea has always been one of the biggest fixtures in league since then. Had the reds won this game, they would have moved one step closer to winning the title, the game was kicked off at Old Trafford on 8 May 2011. Just a minute after the start, United found the back of the net at 36th second, a goal by Hernandez, set up by Park Ji Sung, United went on to lead the game, it didn’t take a long time for United to double their lead as Vidic headed into the Chelsea goal, United went to lead 2-0 at half time. 1] Blackpool vs. Manchester United:

One of the best matches in the Premier League history without a doubt, an unbelievable comeback with just 18 minutes left on the clock United, with yet an another superb performance, saw them take home three points. Blackpool, one of the weakest team’s in the Premier League last season had found the back of the net early in the first half, a header from Cathcart and the end of the first 45 minutes they doubled their lead to make it 2-0. As always, like the 1999 treble winning side, United had made it tough for themselves at the beginning of the game going down. Not even a single United fan would have given up the hope of being unbeaten in the Premier league, as usual the Red devils charged back and beat Blackpool within minutes. Berbatov scored a goal for United at the 72nd minute to get back into the game, it just took 2 minutes for the Reds to equalize against Blackpool, Giggs long cross found Hernandez, who was one-on-one with the keeper, had finished it in style as the United team gathered in front of the away fans of who were jumping in joy. 2 minutes to 90 mins, Berbatov won it for Manchester United, he dribbled past two defenders and struck a wonderful shot past the keeper.
