We already know who are the most likely to win the Euros. Below, we have a list of those teams that could win the Euro 2012, even if they are unlikely to do so.
Greece:”The 1-0 specialists”
The Greeks could cunningly win it, if they could bring those efficient 1-0 winners back. Greece have, in general, thrived on drab 1-0 winners and in their last 10 internationals have they only twice scored more than 1 goal. The 1-0 specialists could be humiliated by the German attacking prowess, but teams with the tag of underwhelming favorites are the once that have sprung a few surprises this tournament. The debt crisis may not be as treacherous as the road they face ahead to the finals. With the possibility of facing Portugal in the final, it could be Euro 2004 all over again, or not.
England :
Its always safe to put England as a joker in the pack. England have always been under the scrutiny for under-performing, but in fact the real picture is that England have generally not been good enough against the big guns. Though recent form suggests that they are in good nick and are a potential threat to the favorites of the tournament, the knockout phase could prove to be the litmus test and against a well organized Italian side, Roy Hodgson’s men could stutter. They have been enterprising but also a bit shabby.
France:
Putting them as unlikely Euro 2012 winners could seem unlikely to most, but their lackadaisical approach could cost them dearly in the final stages of the tournament.France have a talented lot from Nasri and Benzema to Ribery and Cabaye, but are often criticized for surrendering the hold on the game. They could knock out the defending champions Spain and put themselves in great position to win the tournament, but they could also been seen chasing shadows in Donetsk if Spain push up a gear.
