Usain Bolt at Manchester United

There have been a lot of talks about Usain Bolt, the great Jamaican sprinter, playing for Manchester United. I, for one, would be extremely happy to see him in a United shirt. It is no secret that Usain Bolt is a huge Manchester United fan and wants to play for the club. After the 2012 London Olympics, Bolt had openly asked Sir Alex Ferguson to give him a trial and assess his footballing skills.
Even on Twitter, Bolt asked Rio Ferdinand, the United centre back for help, with Rio promising him a trial.
More recently, Sir Alex Ferguson said that it was a possibility that Usain Bolt could feature for United in a friendly match against none other than Real Madrid sometime next year. This could well mean a trial for him.
If United eventually does sign him, the benefits could be great, both in the footballing sense as well as for the side’s marketing capabilities. Signing Usain Bolt could see the popularity of the already hugely popular club become greater. Also, in terms of football, he could prove to be a great asset because of his speed. He could become a great winger or a full back and make runs down the flanks. I don’t see anybody in the Premier League catching him.
I just hope that Manchester United sign him soon either as a player or an ambassador, or even a coach. As a coach, he could help players with their running techniques, the same way he helped Cristiano Ronaldo during his stay at Old Trafford.
