Manchester United’s good week continues, with Goal reporting that they are set to welcome four of their key players back from injury during Tuesday’s fixture with Cardiff City.
Goal suggests that Robin Van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Marouane Fellaini and Rio Ferdinand could all return to the United squad imminently, having sat out the past few weeks through injury.
The Cardiff game is also likely to see the debut of new signing Juan Mata, meaning that United fans may see a much changed side from recent weeks.
Strike duo Van Persie and Rooney have rarely figured at the same time this season, with both men suffering injury plagued starts to the season. Van Persie has been missing since early December, whilst Rooney has not played since the New Years Day defeat to Tottenham.
Summer signing Fellaini has also suffered from a catalogue of injuries this season, with his latest ailment keeping him out of the last eight Premier League fixtures.
Ferdinand has also been on the long term injury list this season, but completes the returning quartet. The 35-year-old stalwart has made just seven league appearances this season, but may now be set for a timely return to the side as David Moyes and his team look to make up ground on the Premier League’s top four sides.
