Arsene Wenger was given a surprise while he was the main guest on beIN SPORTS Sunday feature. The surprise was a cardboard cut-out of rival manager Jose Mourinho in a hand-shake pose. The Frenchman had an altercation with the Portuguese during a Premier League game beteween Chelsea and Arsenal which the hosts won 2-0.
The game saw a number of physical challenges and on the 20th minute Gary Cahill tried to tackle Alexis Sanchez but mistimed it and took the Chilien out with a lunge. When Cahill was booked Wenger was furious that he wasn’t sent off. On seeing Mourinho arguing with the fourth official, Wenger approached him and shoved him aside.
The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan manager refused to shake hands with the Arsenal manager after the game. The Chelsea manager later said that had he done what the Arsenal boss did, he’d have got a stadium ban. The Professor has since apologised for his behaviour.
It will be interesting to see how his Chelsea counterpart reacts to this video if and when he watches it.
