Koke pulled off an incredible goal from the corner flag during Atletico Madrid’s pre-season fixture against Sagan Tosu in Japan. The 23-year-old showed everyone his fantastic technique and capability to score from tight angles, but his team failed to capitalise on their one-goal advantage as they drew the home side 1-1.
In the 18th minute Spanish international Koke took a routine corner kick from the left corner, but this corner wasn’t unlike any other. The ball was swung in and didn’t dip until the very end, completely deceiving the keeper Eisuke Fujishima.
The match went to penalties after Sagan Tosu equalised eight minutes from time after terrible defending by Atletico new boy Stefan Savic and goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya. The match went to penalties, and Moya made amends for his part in the equaliser by inspiring his side to a 4-1 win in the shoot-out.
