Is there anything Manuel Neuer can’t do?
When Bayern Munich played Hamburg in the German Cup, the German goalkeeper was seen leaving his box and taking the ball forward – just like a defensive midfielder,
As Dante passed the ball back to the 2014 World Cup Golden Glove winner, Neuer received the ball outside the box, went past one Hamburg player and then faked a second before passing the ball inches past the opponent’s foot to his own teammate. He then nonchalantly jogged back into the “relative safety” of his own box.
The Hamburg player’s reaction to just missing the ball says it all.
