During Barcelona’s 1-0 win over Celta Vigo in La Liga, Celta Vigo forward Fabian Orellana was sent off in bizarre circumstances. The forward took out a piece of the turf and threw it at Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets.
Barcelona were awarded a free-kick in the 88th minute and Busquets was standing over the ball alongside Xavi. Trailing 0-1 through a Jeremy Mathieu goal 15 minutes prior to the incident, Orellana took out his frustration in the most comical of circumstances.
He threw some grass at Busquets to tell him to hurry with the free kick. The referee, however, spotted the incident and immediately sent the Chilean off.
