It was a frustrating tie for Jose Mourinho and his men who struggled to find a goal until the 88th minute when Cesc Fabregas eventually came to the rescue for the league leaders with a goal from inside the box.
This was Fabregas’ first goal in the Premier League since his goal against Stoke City which he had scored last December. It was also the first shot on target for the Chelsea player in the match, reflecting their poor finishing and composure throughout the match.
With this win, Chelsea are now seven points ahead of second placed Arsenal as they continue to maintain their lead on top of the Premier League table.
