The trend for leaving early seems to have spread to Stamford Bridge and whilst it is preachy I really find fans leaving early disgraceful, particularly as it can be ten minutes early.
Fire drills seem to have become a standard part of the last ten minutes of Premier League games with fans leaving stadiums up and down the country early including Stamford Bridge. I cannot understand this phenomenon tickets are at extortionately high levels yet people leave with nearly 10% of the game left.
I know Stamford Bridge can be difficult to get out of and onto the general transport network but if you don’t like the traffic why bother coming?
I can understand leaving if there is no hope left in the game (to a point) but have never done it myself. In really tight games leaving early can mean you miss important action.
Some reasons people have given for leaving early that I am sure you will agree are both inspiring and full of support for the team, I have never understood it and doubt I ever will.
