On loan at Italian club Fiorentina, Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah scored his debut goal in the Serie A during their 3-1 win against Sassuolo. Salah had moved to Fiorentina in this transfer window as a part of a deal that saw Juan Cuadrado move to the other end.
Playing in his second match, after he had come on as a sub during FIoretina’s 3-2 win over Atalanta, Salah scored one before creating another for Khouma Babacar during the 82-minutes that he was on the pitch for as he led his new side to a comfortable win at the Mapel Stadium.
Speaking to Goal after the match, the Egyptian said, "I am really happy with my first goal. This goal will be a big boost for me in the coming matches. I am happy with this victory and we will continue work hard to achieve our targets.”
"Now, we focus on the next game, against Tottenham in the Europa League," he added.
