Dimitar Berbatov bagged a brace as he led AS Monaco to a 2-0 away win at Toulouse on Friday, lifting his side to the seventh position in the Ligue 1 table.
The former Manchester United striker put Monaco ahead with a classy and beautiful finish off his right foot just before the half-time from a tight angle following a cross from Anthony Martial. He doubled the lead further in the second half from the penalty spot in the 77th minute of the match.
"I think we deserved to win, we were the better team," Berbatov said following the win. "It is an important win, now we have to prepare for another important game. This gave us more self-belief that we can progress in the Champions League."
His first goal remains to be the highlight to take away from the match as it is definitely going to give the Manchester United fans a reminiscence of the exquisite first touch that the Belgium was always known for.
