Chelsea further strengthened their lead at the top of the Premier League table after beating Stoke City 2-1 at home on Saturday. Eden Hazard opened the scoring for the hosts in the 39th minute with a penalty, but an incredible 65-yard equaliser just before half-time from Charlie Adam brought the visitors back into the contest. Loic Remy though restored the lead for the Blues in the 62nd minute and that was the final scoreline as the Blues went 9 points clear at the top.
But along with netting the opening goal, Hazard was involved in yet another brilliant moment during the 81st minute, where he provided yet another glimpse of his excellent dribbling skills near the edge of the box. However, that piece of brilliance didn't prove to be effective as Willian failed to put it past the goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, who made a couple of very good saves.
