Three goals in the first half had more or less sealed the game for Everton. Romelu Lukaku was the star of the night who scored a brace on his home debut for Everton. Ross Barkley scored the second goal with absolute finesse, leaving Pardrew’s team with nothing much to do. Yohan Cabaye pulled one back for Newcastle just after half-time and Loic Remy netted one in the 89th minute, but it was too late by then.
Everton are currently placed 4th on the Premier League table, while Newcastle are 16th.
