Wesley Sneijder's free-kick was the best goal of the night after Galatasaray registered a 4-1 win over Sivasspor in the first leg of the Turkish Cup semi-final. After conceding a goal in the first 10 minutes with a goal from Sivasspor’s John Utaka, Galatasaray scored four times to come back into the tie.
It was the 64th minute of the match when the Dutch midfielder slotted the ball past goalkeeper Ertugrul Taskiran to score a picture-perfect free-kick, beating a wall made up of almost seven Sivasspor players and another defender guarding the near post while standing on the goal line.
The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan star has grown into an indispensable player for Turkish side Galatasaray this season, having scored 8 goals and assisting two in the process.
