Record-breaking goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni has found the net yet again, and this time it came against Sao Paulo’s 2-0 win over Bahia.
Ceni, aged 41, holds the record for the highest number of goals scored by a goalkeeper, and is also Sao Paulo’s longest serving player with over 1000 appearances for the club.
It was earlier announced by the player himself that he will be retiring at the end of this season. “At the end of the year, I’m going to really stop,” he had told reporters. “I’m not going to play again. This is my last year – not only for Sao Paulo, but as a professional footballer.”
Ceni’s 100th goal came against Sao Paolo’s arch-rival Corinthians
