Yesterday's I-League 2014/15 encounter between Bharat FC and Bengaluru FC at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune end with Bengaluru FC winning the encounter 2-0. Ashley Westwood’s men scored a goal on either side of the break to earn his side the win.
Bharat FC troubled the away team’s defence early in the game but Eugeneson Lyngdoh’s deft strike from outside the box in the 29th minute seemed to deflate the home team.
CK Vineeth then found the back of the net in the 56th minute, having displayed tremendous skill to carve out the opportunity. Having doubled their advantage, Bengaluru FC looked comfortable for the rest of the game.
The victory puts Bengaluru FC on par with Mohun Bagan at the top of the table with 28 points. However, the Kolkata side have two games in hand.
