Porto goalkeeper and Spanish legend, Iker Casillas, had a horrible moment in goal for his team against S.C Braga in the Portuguese Primeira Liga last night. 2-1 down in the dying minutes of the game, Casillas comes sweeping outside his technical area to clear a loose ball but the opposition player close to the ball, dinks it around him and fires from distance to ensure his team won it 3-1.
Casillas moved to Porto earlier this season from Real Madrid after reportedly falling out with the club president Florentino Perez but has had a Jekyll and Hyde of a season at the Portuguese club making incredible saves and indulging in rare moments of mediocrity like last night.
Casillas' team, Porto, are currently in 3rd the Primeira Liga 6 points behind title rivals SL Benfica and 4 points behind Sporting Lisbon. They were knocked out of the Europa League last month by German giants Borussia Dortmund and as things stand, are having a terrible season when compared to their previous seasons.
Casillas made 510 appearances for Real Madrid over a period of 16 years and cemented his place as one of the all-time greats. He's won the Spanish Liga 5 times, the UEFA Champions League 3 times and the FIFA Club World Cup 2 times.
He's also been an instrumental figure in Spain's greatest ever decade winning the FIFA World Cup in 2010 between two UEFA Euros in 2008 and 2012.
Casillas will be hoping he makes things right when his team host União in the Liga this weekend.
