Iker Casillas has already become a hero of sorts at his new club FC Porto by putting in a man of the match display against Valencia in a pre-season friendly. The 34-year-old who spent 25 years at Madrid had been sold to the Portuguese club at the end of the season.
The Spanish goalkeeper made a brilliant save in the penalty shootout against Valencia in a pre-season friendly which turned out to be a match-winning one. The match had ended 0-0 after both teams failed to find a breakthrough before the tie went into penalties.
The shootout went into sudden death where Casillas made a brilliant diving save to prevent Joao Cancelo from scoring. The save showed that Casillas is still sharp and can pull of brilliant saves even thought the shot was struck powerfully.
Porto eventually won the match 5-4 and the team will be happy that their star goalkeeper is finding his feet at the new club. Casillas has managed to keep three clean sheets in four matches for the Portuguese side.
