Italy’s team doctor confirmed that Mario Balotelli will miss the rest of the Confederations Cup with a thigh injury.

I’m afraid he will not recover in time to final match on Sunday. For the semifinals he was already out. I spoke with Mr. Prandelli and, together, we decided to send the player back to Milan, and after speaking with the AC Milan doctor we decided to send him there for recovery.”
Italy face Spain in the semi-finals of the competition, whilst Brazil take on Uruguay.
