The phrase “missing would be easier than scoring” has been used often, but Jesus Corona’s miss for FC Twente against Heracles in the Dutch Eredivise stays true to the saying.
The Mexican international, who is being touted as the nation’s next big thing, would not want to see this miss again.
As the ball gets crossed in from the left flank, it falls to a player down the right hand side. He squares it back to Corona, who had the goal at his mercy, but lifted the ball onto the bar. The resulting header was saved by the Heracles keeper Remko Pasveer.
Corona has scored six goals in thirty appearances for the Twente, who currently sit in sixth position.
