With six goals in six matches, Cristiano Ronaldo is making sure that Real Madrid aren’t too far behind on the La Liga table.
The Portugal forward scored last night’s first goal via a free kick in the 52nd minute and Madrid looked poised to win the game. However, recently promoted Elche got one back when substitute Richmond Boakye levelled the scores.
Extra time saw Real Madrid win a corner, but the referee pointed to the penalty spot after Pepe tangled with midfielder Carlos Sanchez in the area. Ronaldo calmly struck home the ball, giving Real Madrid a close win.
