With the 2013 Champions League Final being played at Wembley tomorrow, today is the last day that we can claim to be undisputed “Champions of Europe”.
It has been a fantastic experience, travelling across Europe, telling the home fans wherever we go that “we know what we are” and sticking the jibes of some of our fallen rivals down their throats.
Having sang it until May, we still hold a European trophy, but nothing will ever be as special as that night in Munich.
Underdogs in the Semi Final stage onwards, we overcame the odds and survived the drama to lift the trophy against the Germans in their stadium on penalties!
