Uruguay face host nation Brazil in the semi-finals of the Confederations Cup on Wednesday.
The Copa America holders face a Brazil side who were impressive in the group stage and Uruguay captain Diego Lugano and manager Oscar Tavarez are wary of Brazil and Neymar –
Diego Lugano, Uruguay captain:“Brazil have a strong squad with two defenders that play tough. I’m worried about the fouls that Neymar can simulate. I hope that the referee will be aware of this fact, and not fall for this talent that the great Brazilian possesses.”
Oscar Tavarez, Uruguay coach:“It’s not a regular match against Brazil. For us it’s very difficult and motivating. Brazil never lose here and for us this a great challenge. To try to do what no one has done before, or just a few. We are stubborn and obstinate.”
The winner of Wednesday’s match will face either World Cup holders Spain or Italy in the final.
