Brazil might have lost 2-1 to Serbia in the final of the U-20 FIFA World Cup, but the match will be remembered for a beauty of a goal scored by Andreas Pereira. The Manchester United youngster went on a brilliant, jinking run, beating 5 defenders, before curling the ball beyond the reach of the goalkeeper and into the goal.
Pereira picked the ball up on the left flank, started moving towards the box, and then with a sudden burst of acceleration, he cut inside, sidestepped one defender and moved past two others. He then cut back, leaving one more defender for dead, before proceeding to finish calmly, evading the challenge of a 5th defender.
That goal helped level the scoreline in the U-20 World Cup final at 1-apiece, but the Brazilian's lovely bit of skill will be etched in the memories of fans for a long time to come. Manchester United fans will definitely be rubbing their hands with glee, as they look forward to the new season.
