16-year-old Martin Odegaard made his much-awaited debut for the Real Madrid B team against Beijing Guoan in a friendly. One of the most sought-after youngsters in the world was snapped up by Madrid just two weeks ago.
First team coach Fernando Hierro was present to witness the talented youngster and he must have impressed Hierro as he set up 2 of Madrid’s 3 goals. The match ended in a 3-3 draw with Odegaard playing 60 minutes.
He showed his vision with a few brilliant through balls and made some sublime touches as he announced his arrival in spectacular fashion. He could now be given his full debut on Sunday against Athletic Bilbao B at Real’s Valdebebas training ground.
Odegaard can play a big hand to help the club’s B-team Real Madrid Castilla win promotion into Spain’s second tier from the third division.
