Mohamed Salah has definitely been doing all that he can to make Chelsea regret their decision to let him leave on loan to Fiorentina.
The Egyptian winger went on a slaloming run past the entire AS Roma defence in the second leg of their Europa League round-of-16 encounter. He started his run deep inside Fiorentina’s own half, and sprinted the length of the pitch, moving past the defence, before cutting in on his left foot to unleash a shot which hit the bar.
This run of his is just the latest addition to his growing collection of barnstorming runs since he joined Fiorentina, as he did the same against both Tottenham in the Europa League and Juventus in the Coppa Italia.
His form must surely be making Jose Mourinho at Chelsea take note, as he took the decision to let him leave on loan to make space for Juan Cuadrado, who was signed from Fiorentina in the January transfer window.
