Schalke’s pacy winger Leroy Sane has caught the eye with his performances this season, and his brilliant solo run and goal against Wolfsburg last made the world sit up and take notice again. He had previously had a great outing in the German outfit’s 4-3 win over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the Champions League.
Sane picked the ball up from a set-piece that was cleared just outside his own penalty box and embarked on a pacy run, which tore apart the entire Wolfsburg defence. Just as he approached the box, a defender got a touch to the ball, but Sane composed himself and finished with aplomb. It took just 10 seconds for the entire sequence to unfold!
