The Netherlands will be hoping to book their place at Brazil 2014 when they take on Andorra in their World Cup qualifier on Tuesday,10th September.
Louis van Gaal, Dutch national team coach, said: “We are professionals and we have prepared this game as we always do. That means that we’ve held all our usual meetings and we have analysed the Estonia game. We have trained hard to put in a good perforamce. So I think everybody knows perfectly well how important this game is for us, especially given the way we have prepared for it.”
“Andorra play with their hearts. Because of this, they occasionally overstep the line of what is permitted. But they do it during ninety minutes and that is fantastic to watch. The difference is that they don’t play to win but to avoid losing.”
“Andorra don’t always create scoring chances but nevertheless once the game starts they are very dangerous on the counter attack. So that means that when they reach our side of the pitch we must be careful. It is not an easy task to defend. Because they are very effective in the aerial game and they have players that can shoot from outside the box such as (Marc) Pujol, so it’s not going to be easy at all.”
