Kazuyoshi Miura (or ?? ??) who is the oldest professional footballer in the world now celebrates his 47th birthday today. He was the first Japanese recipient of the Asian Player of the Year award which he won back in 1993. A living legend in Japanese football, Miura has boasted an enviable playing career. He’s represented the likes of Brazilian giants Santos and Palmeiras and nine-time Italian champions Genoa, while he was named AFC Player of the Year for 1993. Currently, he plays form Yokohama FC in the Japanese League Division 2.
