Oldham beat Manchester City 2-1
Robbie Simpson gave Oldham a surprise lead with a well-placed shot that Joe Hart could only watch hit the back of the net. City could only scored in the 53rd minute when City outcast, Roque Santa Cruz slotted the ball home after beating the offside trap. Jonathan Grounds secured victory for Oldham with a powerful effort in injury time to surprise the visitors and the home crowd in equal measure.
