Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany could make his return from injury as manager Manuel Pellegrini held a news conference on Monday in Plzen, Czech Republic.
Manuel Pellegrini, Manchester City manager, said: “Of course we have to win this game. I think it is very important to start the group winning the first game and we are trying tomorrow but we know that we will play against a strong team but we will try from the beginning to win the game.”
Aleksandar Kolarov, Manchester City, said: “Vincent (Kompany) is our captain and is a very important player for us. Now he is 100 percent. He is a very important player for. He is our leader. We are looking forward to playing again with him.”
Manuel Pellegrini said: “I think the Champions League is never easy. I said it during the week that if we think that we have a weak teams in our group I think we are making a great mistake. It is a very good team. It is a team who have not lost in the last 13 or 14 games. He (They) is the champion here in the Czech league. So I am sure that there will be nothing easy in that group.”
