Last night’s encounter was a pretty close one as Real Manager Carlo Ancelotti fielded a slightly different team with both Bale and Di Maria starting the match. Real Madrid have now moved onto 47 points, three behind leaders Barcelona and Atletico Madrid while Espanyol remain on the 11th position with 22 points. Pepe was the only goal-scorer.
