Visitors Athletic Bilbao broke the deadlock as Markel Susaeta rifled home in the 28th minute. Real Valladolid equalised within three minutes through Patrick Ebert. Bilbao were not to be denied, however, as Iker Muniain scored the winner in the 50th minute.
