#3 Corners
Corners pose dangerous threats to the defending team, and each team has their own special routine on corners. FIFA 17 has seen an upgrade over previous games in this facet of the game, and the whole corner set up has changed.
It is a much more challenging task with more player control required, but it offers way more variety and unpredictability in the box. Defending corners also offer a variety of challenges, and a lot more options, such as blocking runs, timing jumps to win headers, and quick player changes to react to ricochets.
FIFA 16 did not give you the opportunity to move the attacker around and the flight and velocity of your cross could not be as easily controlled as in FIFA 17. FIFA 16 also did not have the destination star which helps you decide where you want to land the corner. FIFA 17 incorporates all these improvements.
One major improvement in the corner routine is greater player control of the accuracy of balls crossed into the box. If corners are utilised properly, they can prove to be a major weapon to score goals, and you can learn about all about the different types of corner routines in the video above.
