Southampton’s Senegalese international Sadio Mane created history earlier today when he recorded the fastest hat-trick in Premier League history, by scoring three goals in 2 minutes and 56 seconds against Aston Villa. He broke the record held by Robbie Fowler, who had registered the previous fastest hat-trick in 4 minutes and 33 seconds.
This hat-trick was also the earliest in a Premier League match, having come in 16 minutes, faster than Dwight Yorke’s hat-trick in 22 minutes. Here are the goals scored by Mane:
