Even though a qualification to the Round of 16 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup was not possible for Samuel Eto’o and his Cameroon side, the out-of-contract Chelsea player gave a young fan a heart-warming hug while he was on his way to the team bus.

As the young fan appeared to have been shouting Eto’o’s name, the Cameroon skipper approached the kid, and gave him a long hug. Maybe amidst all the controversies, first him having to sit out during Cameroon’s defeat to Croatia and Brazil following a knee injury, then to stop his own team-mates, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Benjamin Moukandjo from fighting, Eto'o needed that hug as much as the kid.
