Video: Shanghai Shenhua's Giovanni Moreno scores stunning goal from overhead kick

The cross from a corner kick was met by Moreno who timed his overhead kick to perfection

Not many overhead kicks are timed better than this. Shanghai Shenhua midfielder Giovanni Moreno opened the scoring against Hangzhou in a CSL match with a superbly timed acrobatic shot that hit the inside of the post and found the back of the net.

Shanghai had a corner kick in the 44th minute and an inswinging ball was floated into the box. Moreno watched it all the way and in spite of a defender coming in his way in the last second, trying to clear the ball, he met the ball perfectly with his left foot more than five feet off the ground.

The ball looped over the defenders and beat the diving goalkeeper to give Shanghai the lead. They would eventually go on to win 2-0.
