The match between Borussia Monchengladbach and Paderborn saw the home team record a comfortable 2-0 victory, thanks to goals from Fabian Johnson and Patrick Herrmann. What was interesting was both goals were deflected efforts.
The second goal, scored by Herrmann, was one of the most unique and bizarre goals ever seen. The German looked to volley the ball goalwards after Paderborn goalkeeper Lukas Kruse had pushed the ball out. However, the ball took a slight deflection off a defender, and then trickled into the goal, as everyone looked on for what seemed an eternity.
The goal was definitely one of the slowest ever seen, and it must have left the Kruse distraught, as the slow-moving shot gave him no chance as he had already committed to diving in the opposite direction.
For Herrmann, it was his 10th goal of the season and most definitely the weirdest one he would ever have scored.
