Spanish national team arrive in Guayaquil ahead of their friendly international with Ecuador.
The Spanish national Team arrived in Ecuador on Monday, for a friendly match against the Ecuadorian national team.
Around 200 fans welcomed Vicente Bel Bosque’s men at the city’s international airport.
The last time both teams faced each other was ten years ago, in Madrid, with Spain winning the game 4-0.
Having lost in the Confederations Cup final to Brazil in the summer, Spain will be looking to bounce back with a win in this encounter against the South Americans.
Attacking midfielder Cesc Fabregas is set to miss the match due to an injury during Barcelona tour of Malaysia.
Fabregas recently put at end to speculation linking him to Manchester United, by publicly stating he wanted to remain at Barcelona.
The game will also honour the late Christian “Chucho” Benitez, who died of heart failure on July 29th having been rushed to hospital the day before having complained of stomach pains.
