Thierry Henry scored his 10th goal of the MLS campaign with a simple finish (by his standards) against Houston Dynamo in the MLS.
With the score at 0-0 at the start of the second half, the New York Red Bulls needed only 94 seconds to open the scoring.
Having won the ball on the right flank, the ball was crossed to a teammate making a run, marked by a defender. But the ball was deflected in the confusion with three players, including the goalkeeper, trying to make contact and the ball fell to Thierry Henry making a run at the far post to slot it home with his right foot.
What was great to see was Henry’s teammate Péguy Luyindula’s confidence as he started celebrating even before Henry scored.
