Gareth Bale played at Premier League club Southampton before joining London club Tottenham Hotspur in 2007. He started his career as a left back, but due to his impressive performances the then Spurs manager Harry Redknapp moved him forward to left wing in 2010. Since then Bale has been an integral part of the club. He is known for his pace, stamina and agility and is a free kick specialist having scored many goals from long range.
Bale won the Professional Football Association’s player and young player of the year for 2012-13, becoming only the third person in the history to win both the awards in the same season.
