Ezequiel Calvente, arguably scored the greatest penalty ever, when he attempted a ‘switch-hit’, completely outwitting the goalkeeper during this 2010 UEFA European Football Championship match against Italy. He ran up with his body angled to his left but at the very end took the stroke with his left foot hitting the ball in the right-hand corner, making the goalkeeper look like a bumbling baboon.
