Robbie Fowler is a player who is much revered by Liverpool fans, who also gave him the nickname ‘God’ for his incredible goalscoring ability. A product of the Merseyside club’s youth academy, Fowler made his first-team debut as a teenager in 1993.

The Englishman was a player with quick feet and a strong left foot, which is on evidence in the goal he scored in 1995 at Old Trafford. Fowler was found on the left side and he took a few strides before unleashing a wicked shot from the edge of the box and into the top corner to silence the Old Trafford crowd.
Fowler scored a brace in that game against United at Old Trafford and followed it up with another brace in the return fixture at Anfield.
