There were heated exchanges between Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and the reporters present in his press conference on Friday following the Blues’ elimination from the Champions League.
"I don't want to tell you,” said Mourinho when asked about if he spoke to the players. "I had a meeting with the players, I am working for the future and I don't have to share with you.”
The Portuguese was adamant about not talking about Champions League as he insisted the press to rather question Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger whose teams are still in the competition, even if their chances of progressing to the next round are slim.
When asked about how he felt about Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s comments over the Chelsea players being babies around him, he said, "I keep telling you I don't talk about what other people are saying."
"If you want to speak about the Champions League then you need to go to Wenger or Pellegrino [sic] because they are still in the Champions League. We are not in the Champions League. We played 8 matches, we lost zero, we couldn't win through to the quarter-finals so we are out of the Champions League,” he adds.
